How the auction works
Proxy is the trusted intermediary. Cards flow seller → Proxy → buyer; money flows buyer → Proxy → seller. Here’s the whole journey.
Authenticated & in hand
Every item is already in Proxy’s possession and authenticated before it’s listed. Buyers bid on verified, inventoried stock — no one bids blind.
We list it
We photograph the graded slab or sealed product and put it up for a 24-hour auction — with an optional hidden reserve and an optional Buy It Now price.
Buyers bid
Approved buyers bid in real time. Each listing shows the current high and the minimum next bid. A reserve shows only as met or not — never the number.
Buy It Now (optional)
If a seller sets a Buy It Now price, any approved buyer can end the auction instantly at that price and win on the spot. Both parties are notified right away.
Fixed-time close
The clock is the clock — no last-second extensions. At close, the highest bid at or above reserve wins; otherwise it’s a no-sale. Both parties are emailed the result.
Settle & ship
We collect payment from the buyer, ship the authenticated item, and pay the seller their proceeds — hammer price minus fees.
The fee model, in plain numbers
There’s no buyer’s premium. Commission comes out of the seller’s proceeds, and shipping & handling is split evenly:
- ◆Seller commission: the greater of 5% of the hammer price or an AED 250 minimum.
- ◆Shipping & handling: a flat AED 100, split 50/50 — AED 50 from the seller, AED 50 added for the buyer.
- ◆Seller proceeds = hammer price − commission − AED 50 shipping share. Buyer pays hammer + AED 50 shipping share.
